Founded by Claire Alter and Jennifer Madden in 2020, Alter Madden Interiors & Styling — or AMIS (pronounced ah-mee) — has grown to a team of five bright, creative women united by a shared passion for crafting beautiful, livable interiors.

Whether designing a residential home or a “home to imagine,” such as a commercial Display Suite, we take great pride in transforming spaces with thoughtful, inspired styling that reflect both beauty and purpose.

After our first five years of offering full-service interior design, we have recognized a growing demand for accessible and impactful styling—transformations that elevate a space without the cost or headache of a major renovation.

The name AMIS, means friends in French, and it embodies the heart of our business. Connection, approachability, and trust form the foundation of how we work — with each other and with our clients — because the best spaces are born from genuine collaboration and care.
